MEMORY SUPPORT - THE TERRACE
The Terrace is a memory support household for residents who require a secure environment and a safe and congenial home. Staff and residents of The Terrace, located in the west wing of the third floor in the Crossroads building, are involved in the Creating Home Initiative. On any given day the aroma from bread baking or soup simmering may bring back memories of home and families to residents. Throughout each day staff is engaged in providing both stimulating and comforting programs and meals which are served family style around a table.
Club West at The Terrace provides respite for care givers of non-Terrace residents. Every Tuesday and Thursday it provides an enrichment program for residents with cognitive impairment in a secure environment. This program occurs from 10 A.M. - 2 p.m. The specially trained staff provides engaging recreational programs for participants. Lunch, snacks, recreational supplies and medical supplies are included.
Goodwin House Baileys Crossroads is also a certified Music and Memory site. Residents are provided iPods, and residents or their families may have personalized play lists created for them to enjoy.
